Nearly 40 optometrists and GPs attended our last healthcare professionals lecture held Thursday, 14 April 2016 from 18:30 to 21:30 (GMT): “Macular degeneration treatments: a glimpse into the future”. 

Mr Jaheed KhanMr Jaheed Khan shared his cutting-edge knowledge of the most current and latest treatments for AMD.

Age Related Macular Degeneration, or AMD, is the commonest cause of blindness and loss of central vision in the over-65s. It is a chronic disease and can have a devastating impact on your patient’s quality of life. It can affect their ability to drive, read, engage in many hobbies and carry out many of the normal activities of day-to-day life.
