Blepharitis (Children)

In blepharitis the eyelid margins of both eyes become red and swollen due to inflammation.

What the symptoms can be?

• Itchy, sore, red eyelids
• Eyelids that stick together and are difficult to open when your child wakes up
• Swollen eyelid margins
• Crusty or greasy eyelashes
• Eyelashes that grow inwards or fall out
• A burning, gritty sensation in the eyes
• Sensitivity to light
