Anti-ageing treatments at Clinica London
At Clinica London, Jane Olver and two Clinica London nurses offer care and advice. If there is a medical skin problem, patients should come to Clinica and have a full examination by our Consultant Dermatologist, Dr Jennifer Crawley, who is the Clinica London dermatologist treating acne, skin tags, eczema, other causes of red face and pigmentations on the face.
We offer Intraceuticals for anti-ageing, which is an infused oxygen and serum facial treatment. The serum combines with substances which help to tighten, lift or lighten the skin, particularly around the eyes. This is an effective re-hydrating and rejuvenating treatment.
Besides, anti-ageing Ultherapy is also available in our Clinica. It is a maintenance treatment, managing the face and jowls and preventing sagging with ageing. And it is also a lifting and tightening treatment for early facial, jowl, neck and décolletage ageing.
Furthermore, we offer advice on diets, on whether surgery could be indicated. And, we always give patients a proper report including time to consider whether they want to proceed with a procedure or surgery.
The main fillers at Clinica London are the Restylane range, the Juvederm range and Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid). There is Radiesse available for some particular patients.
Restylane has just got new branding, and they have renamed many their products. We use the Restylane and Lidocaine, the lighter Restylane Skinboosters which is light Restylane and Lidocaine, and the medium heavy Restylane Perlane. We rarely use anything heavier in the Restylane range.
These Restylane products are Refresh, Enhance and Restore. Refresh is equivalent to the Skinboosters. Enhance is the previous Restylane Perlane, and Restylane Restore is the Restylane Volume. I tend to use the Juvederm Voluma for the deep cheek or the Restylane Perlane. I use the simple Restylane and Lidocaine in the tear troughs for my TearFill. There is a filler to fit into specific areas and specific ages.
In summary, anti-ageing aesthetic treatments at Clinica London consist of skin care, oxygen facials, botulinum toxin A (Botox), fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, and Sculptra) and lastly, surgery. I do eyelid surgery, including opening up eyes where there is a drooping eyelid with ptosis or two drooping eyelids with ptosis. I also do eyelid lifts where there is eyelid hooding. I remove eyelid bags where they are particularly baggy and cannot be treated by a medical aesthetic treatment.
I have been a Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeon since 1994 and am interested in aesthetic treatments and surgery from early 2000. I used to do big brow lifts and even face lifts, but now I am focusing on conducting more delicate eyelid surgery. There is little demand for mid face or cheek lifts because fillers have largely taken over that role.
