What are Skinboosters?

Skinboosters is a hydrating plumping skin rejuvenation treatment. It is a filler treatment with hyaluronate using Skinboosters Restylane Vital or Vital light. It improves the hydration and appearance of the skin through the application of multiple very small or micro-injections into the skin under local anaesthetic.

Skinboosters and ageing face and hands

The wonderful thing about Skinboosters is that it can be used all over the face and the hands and rejuvenates by injecting the water-loving (hydrophilic) hyaluronate acid just under the skin, which helps to hydrate it from the inside out. As a result, the skin looks brighter and more youthful. At the same time, the micro-injections stimulate collagen production, providing a longer-term anti-ageing benefit.

Skinboosters and Acne Scars

Skinboosters can also be used medically to improve the appearance of acne scarring by smoothing out the skin, as well as reversing the effects of ageing by smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin Boosters have become very popular in Far East, particularly in South Korea and China, and has become the treatment to use on the face and on the hands with micro-injections. It is rapidly becoming the treatment of choice for long-term facial rehydration.

How many treatment sessions do you require?

I normally do three treatments two to four weeks apart and decide whether the regime is going to be light, medium or deep. This depends on the age of the patient, the area to be treated and the result desired.
