I’m trained as an oculoplastic and lacrimal surgeon, I did my training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and there I learned to operate on eyelids that can be either dropping or too wide open, or have tumours on them, and other conditions that effect the eyelids.
I also operate on tear ducts and that’s lacrimal. So lacrimal is watering or tearing. It has anything to do with the excess of the tears and also sometimes dryness. Some patients with dry eyes can think that they’ve got watering eyes, paradoxically.
