What is sutureless blepharoplasty?
Sutureless blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery uses fibrin adhesive. This is something that I’ve specialise in, as I was one of the pioneers developing it.
It means that I can close the skin on the upper eyelid after your eyelid surgery and on the lower eyelids hardly using any stitches at all. It means that the surgery is a lot quieter and the healing is very rapid. It also relies on natural coagulation within your eyelid. So it’s not artificial as such. It is something that you can hardly get anywhere, apart from at Clinica London.
We are offering sutureless blepharoplasty to more and more patients because the feedback that we are getting from them is that they really like having fibrin adhesive to help close their wounds.
