What is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy or ulthera is a very new technique of micro-focused, ultrasonic thermo-coagulation of the dermis. Its main purpose is to lift the face, to lift the jowls, the cheeks, the lateral brows and the forehead.
Each patient comes along for an assessment beforehand and we listen to where they feels they may want to have the ultherapy and we advise them whether they is going to be suitable for it. The technical side is that it stimulates the collagen to tighten, so it takes a few weeks to work.
Application of it is with a transducer and our nurses here at Clinica London do the actual treatment, then myself and the nurse do the assessment.
It’s been said in the press to be occasionally painful. So we give a little anaesthesia beforehand and we make you feel very relaxed to get you here beforehand.
