The 14th ISD-DE Congress: “The Year of the Tear”
The 14th Congress of the International Society of Dacryology and Dry Eye (ISD-DE), themed “The Year of the Tear”, was held from May 29-31, 2024 at County Hall in London.
Clinica London was the Platinum Sponsor of this pivotal ophthalmology education event, playing a leading role in creating, organising, and presenting the 3-day congress. Over 120 distinguished speakers from the UK and abroad delivered enriching lectures and interactive sessions. Attendees had the opportunity to earn up to 19 CPD points from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Jane Olver, Founder and Medical Director of Clinica London, and President of ISD-DE for 2024-2026 was the main organiser alongside King Chow (Toronto) and Santiago Ortiz Perez (Granada). Clinica London staff managed the reception, badges, programs, and lectures, dedicating 4 days from May 28-31 to prepare and run the congress.
The congress provided significant learning and networking opportunities for ophthalmologists, optometrists, otolaryngologists, contact lens opticians, and allied health professionals. It facilitated the exchange of knowledge and cultural interactions in the field of watery and dry eyes.
