Joe studied Orthoptics at The University of Sheffield, graduating in 2006.
He is the Head Orthoptist and Clinical Director for Ophthalmology, Maxillo-Facial, and Dentistry at Clinical Director for Dentistry, OMFS & Ophthalmology at Bart´s Health NHS Trust.
He has a Lectureship at Universities of Sheffield and of Liverpool, lecturing yearly on Motility and Trauma.
Joe is a Father and a Clinical Leader, he sees Children and Adults. He is passionate about healthcare and patient clinical outcomes.
He has over 10 years experience working in large teaching hospitals assessing and treating adult and paediatric patients with orthoptic and visual field problems.
He works Working closely with Ophthalmology, Paediatric and Neuro-Ophthalmology, Neurology, Trauma Maxillofacial, Endocrinology and Neuro-surgery colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

REFERRALS
Joe accepts orthoptic referrals from all consultant ophthalmologists, neurologists, neuro-surgeons, hospital paediatricians, community paediatricians, developmental paediatricians, community orthoptists, General Practitioners (GP) and optometrists. It is recommended that self-referrals first get a letter from their GP or a referring medical professional.
