Ms Esther Postner is passionate about improving retinal services and achieving the best possible outcome for patients based on research evidence and her decades of experience in the field. Having completed a Fellowship in Medical Retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital, in 2005 Esther, joined Barts and the London NHS Trust.
A decade later, Esther moved to the highly prestigious Western Eye Hospital as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Medical Retina Department where she continues to be the clinical lead for diabetic eye and outpatient services.
As a passionate advocate for improved processes, services, research, and education Esther is involved in clinical research projects and in a highly reputed training programme for junior ophthalmologists. Her role demands taking a very active role in education as a senior educational, clinical supervisor, and professional examiner.
