Ms Anikina is a highly experienced retinal specialist, having trained in Cambridge and London and undertaken two surgical retinal fellowships and a medical retina fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital prior to being appointed as a Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire NHS Trust.
She likes to place emphasis on a holistic approach, listening to patients’ concerns and developing specific treatment plans that best suit each individual patient. Her expertise across the medical and surgical retinal fields allow a seamless, combined approach to complex eye problems.
She is passionate about education and has been involved with multiple teaching and training roles both inside and outside of the medical fields from very early on in her career.
Ms Anikina recognises the importance of personal development and professional collaboration and is an active member of several professional organisations, as well as having several national and international roles. She is bilingual in Russian and English.
