Victoria studied at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2013. She has over 10 years of experience in paediatric and adult strabismus. She has a specialist interest in visual disorders/visual rehabilitation following stroke, complex strabismus and paediatric visual development.

She started her career in East Suffolk & North Essex Trust where she was first became interested in stroke rehabilitation. She further developed her career in paediatrics at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Her passion to support stroke survivors then led her to Mid South Essex Hospital to develop the Orthoptic Stroke Service, providing a seamless inpatient and outpatient service for stroke survivors with visual abnormalities to improve their quality of life. She has now resides at Royal Free Hospital, improving stroke rehabilitation within ophthalmology, leading a team of Orthoptists in paediatric and adult strabismus and research lead. Her vast orthoptic knowledge has enabled her to become a Clinical Tutor Lead for undergraduate orthoptic and optometry students.

REFERRALS

Ms Tang accepts orthoptic referrals from all consultant ophthalmologists, neurologists, hospital paediatricians, community paediatricians, developmental paediatricians, community orthoptists, General Practitioners (GP) and optometrists. It is recommended that self-referrals first get a letter from their GP or a referring medical professional.
